This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines acceptable use of ROAMR LLC's ("ROAMR") internet services. This policy is designed to protect ROAMR customers, our network infrastructure, and the broader internet community.
By using ROAMR services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in service suspension, termination, or legal action.
1. General Principles
ROAMR customers must:
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Respect the rights and property of others
- Use services in a manner that does not harm ROAMR's network or other customers
- Not interfere with others' use and enjoyment of internet services
- Take responsibility for all activities conducted through their account
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Illegal Activities
ROAMR services may not be used for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws, including but not limited to:
- Copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret infringement
- Defamatory, obscene, or threatening content distribution
- Child pornography or exploitation
- Illegal drug trafficking or other criminal activities
- Fraud, identity theft, or financial crimes
- Harassment, stalking, or bullying
2.2 Network Abuse and Security Violations
Prohibited network activities include:
- Unauthorized Access: Accessing computers, networks, or accounts without authorization (hacking)
- Malware Distribution: Creating, distributing, or facilitating viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious software
- Denial of Service (DoS): Launching or participating in DoS or DDoS attacks
- Port Scanning: Unauthorized scanning or probing of networks or systems
- Packet Spoofing: Forging packet headers or manipulating network protocols
- Network Interference: Activities that degrade or disrupt network performance for other users
- Security Circumvention: Attempting to bypass or disable ROAMR security measures
2.3 Email and Messaging Abuse
Prohibited email activities include:
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk email or commercial messages
- Email Harvesting: Collecting email addresses without permission
- Phishing: Impersonating others to obtain sensitive information
- Email Bombing: Overwhelming recipients with excessive messages
- Forged Headers: Falsifying email headers or sender information
2.4 Inappropriate Content
While ROAMR respects free expression, services may not be used to:
- Host or distribute child sexual abuse material
- Facilitate human trafficking
- Distribute content that violates intellectual property rights
- Host content promoting terrorism or violence
2.5 Resource Abuse
Customers may not:
- Use excessive bandwidth in a manner that degrades service for other customers
- Resell or redistribute internet service without written authorization from ROAMR
- Operate servers or services inconsistent with residential service plans (commercial servers, public Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Use automated systems that generate excessive network traffic
3. Network Management
3.1 Traffic Management
ROAMR employs reasonable network management practices to:
- Ensure network security and integrity
- Prevent network congestion
- Deliver quality service to all customers
- Comply with legal requirements
We do not throttle traffic based on content, applications, or services. However, we may manage network traffic during congestion to ensure fair access for all customers.
3.2 Security Measures
ROAMR may implement security measures including:
- Blocking known malicious IP addresses
- Filtering traffic associated with active security threats
- Isolating compromised customer equipment
- Monitoring for network abuse patterns
4. Residential vs. Business Use
4.1 Residential Service
Residential internet plans are intended for personal, non-commercial use. Activities not permitted on residential plans include:
- Operating commercial web servers
- Providing public Wi-Fi or internet access
- Reselling internet service
- Running commercial mail servers
4.2 Business Service
Business internet plans allow commercial use and may include:
- Hosting business websites or applications
- Running email servers
- Providing customer Wi-Fi (with appropriate security)
- Higher bandwidth allowances

5. Monitoring and Enforcement
5.1 Network Monitoring
ROAMR monitors network traffic for:
- Security threats and vulnerabilities
- Network performance and reliability
- AUP violations
- Technical troubleshooting
We do not monitor the content of your communications or internet usage except as necessary for network security and AUP enforcement.
5.2 Complaint Process
Reports of AUP violations can be submitted to: support@roamr.io
Include relevant details such as:
- Date and time of incident
- Description of violation
- Supporting evidence (logs, screenshots, etc.)
5.3 Violation Response
Depending on the severity of the violation, ROAMR may:
- Warning: Contact you about the issue and request immediate correction
- Suspension: Temporarily suspend service until the issue is resolved
- Termination: Permanently terminate service for serious or repeated violations
- Legal Action: Report illegal activities to law enforcement or pursue civil remedies
6. Compromised Accounts and Equipment
6.1 Security Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Securing wireless networks with strong passwords
- Keeping equipment and software updated
- Using antivirus and security software
- Monitoring account activity for unauthorized use
6.2 Compromised Equipment
If your equipment is compromised or used for malicious activity, ROAMR may:
- Notify you of the security issue
- Provide guidance for remediation
- Temporarily isolate your connection to protect the network
- Require security measures before restoring service
7. Legal Compliance
7.1 Law Enforcement Cooperation
ROAMR cooperates with law enforcement agencies and may:
- Respond to valid legal requests for information
- Comply with court orders and subpoenas
- Report illegal activities when required by law
- Preserve records as requested by authorities
7.2 Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)
ROAMR complies with the DMCA. Copyright holders can submit infringement notices to:

8. Changes to This Policy
ROAMR may modify this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or customer portal notification. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
