Your Internet. Your Neighbor. Your Choice.

Gilchrist County's only locally-owned internet provider since 2018. We built ROAMR because our community deserved better internet — and a provider that would never leave.

Our Story

In 2018, Ryan Reid founded ROAMR with a simple mission: bring fast, reliable internet to Gilchrist County. The rural communities of Trenton, Bell, and Fanning Springs had been underserved for too long — and the providers that did operate here treated the area as an afterthought.

ROAMR was built differently. We started as a fixed wireless provider and grew into a hybrid wireless and fiber network — a self-healing network of redundant towers, each backed by generators and battery backup, with multiple fiber paths to our core network. Today, we serve homes and businesses across the entire county.

While other providers change hands and sell to out-of-state corporations, ROAMR remains what it has always been: a local company, run by local people, dedicated to one county. We're not going anywhere.

Locally Owned. Always.

This isn't just a tagline — it's a promise. ROAMR is headquartered right here at 318 N. Main St in Trenton. Our team lives in the community we serve. When you call for support, you talk to a neighbor, not a call center in another state.

We believe that internet service is too important to leave to companies that don't know your name, your roads, or your community. That's why we've committed to staying local — no matter what happens around us.

Your internet. Your neighbor. Your choice.

Investing in Gilchrist County's Future

The State of Florida chose ROAMR to connect this community. We've been awarded nearly $10 million in state broadband grants through Florida's Broadband Opportunity Program — approximately $5 million for the Town of Bell and $5 million for the City of Trenton.

We're currently building out grant-funded infrastructure to bring high-speed service to every corner of Gilchrist County. This investment means more towers, more fiber paths, and faster speeds for residents who have been underserved for too long.

Founded by Ryan Reid

Ryan Reid started ROAMR in 2018 because he saw a gap in Gilchrist County's infrastructure. Residents and businesses needed reliable, affordable internet — and deserved a provider that actually cared about the community.

Under Ryan's leadership, ROAMR has grown from a small wireless startup to Gilchrist County's only locally-owned broadband provider, delivering speeds up to 300+ Mbps and earning a 4.8-star Google rating from the community we serve.

Our Commitment to Gilchrist County

We're not just an internet company — we're a part of this community. We sponsor local events, support local businesses, and invest in the infrastructure that keeps Gilchrist County connected.

While other providers are being sold to national companies, ROAMR is doubling down on our commitment to local service. Same local team. Same local support. Same dedication to the community that built us.
